Wild Heather

Wildheather; a passion for teaching the skills to understand where you can hike, how to use different maps and scales, planning routes, and how to navigate to where you want to go. We can extend your learning with the compass, map knowledge, contours and land features.  I can advise on the kit you would need and what to take with you; for day walks or camping trips, including wild camping.

Wildheather provides the National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) as a course director and NNAS tutor, Lowland Leader training/assessment and Expedition Module (NGB courses from Mountain Training), individual and group navigation training. All training includes an emphasis on safety and aspects of the Leave No Trace ethos.  All accessible from London by train.

I am a qualified Mountain Leader and teacher based in East Berkshire.  I work as an outdoor instructor and freelance Mountain Leader.

Please note that social distancing measures will be followed during any training.

Keep up with the action!
